Privacy policy
Effective date: November 6, 2026
ZS Chess Studio works on your computer. We don't collect, receive or sell your personal data. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no telemetry in the app.
This policy explains how the ZS Chess Studio app for Windows (“the app”) and the website chess-studio.safzir.com handle information. The app is published by Zirva Software (“we”).
1. Your projects
Games, videos, recordings, pictures and sounds of your projects are kept in the library folder you choose and in the app's local folder on your computer. They are not sent to us.
2. Camera and microphone
The app uses the camera and the microphone only while you record a lesson or broadcast, after Windows asks your permission. Recordings are saved on your computer; during a broadcast they go only to the service you broadcast to.
3. Keys of other services
Keys you enter for other services — a text-to-speech key, a YouTube API key, stream keys — are stored on your computer encrypted with Windows (DPAPI) and are sent only to the service they belong to.
4. Internet connections
The app connects to the internet only when you use a feature that needs it:
• Lichess and Chess.com — the link or the player name you give, to load a game; Lichess also when you follow a live game.
• GitHub and Hugging Face — to download Stockfish and the speech recognition model when you ask. Speech recognition itself runs on your computer.
• Microsoft Azure Speech or ElevenLabs — the text of your narration, with your own key, when you ask for an AI voice.
• YouTube, Twitch or another streaming server you choose — your broadcast; the app also reads the public chat of your channel from Twitch and YouTube.
• Microsoft Store — your license, the purchase of Pro and its free trial, processed by Microsoft under the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
• www.microsoft.com — the current time, read to count the days of the Pro trial. Nothing about you is sent beyond what any web request contains, such as your IP address.
Each of these services handles what it receives under its own privacy policy.
5. Crash reports
If the app stops with an error, it saves a report on your computer. Reports are not sent anywhere; you can open their folder from the Help menu and send one to us yourself if you wish.
6. Reports from Microsoft
Microsoft gives app publishers aggregated sales and installation reports and, depending on your Windows diagnostic data settings, reports about app crashes. We use them only to understand demand and fix problems; they don't identify you to us.
7. This website
chess-studio.safzir.com is a set of static pages. It doesn't use cookies, analytics or third-party resources, and the web server doesn't keep a log of visits.
8. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13. We don't collect personal data from anyone, including children.
9. Changes
If this policy changes, we will publish the new version on this page and update the effective date.
